Early Evening Menu 

Served Tuesday to Friday 5.30 pm until 7.15 pm

Saturdays – last orders taken from this menu at 6.30, tables must be vacated by 8 pm

2 Courses for £10 (smaller portions)

2 Courses for £15 (full size portions)

We serve small portions or adapted versions of our menu favourites to be able to produce this fantastically priced early bird offer.

To Start…

Soup of the Day (v, gf*) ~ freshly made & served with a homemade soft roll

Moules Mariniere (gf*) ~ served with our homemade bread to mop up the sauce

Chicken Liver Pate (gf*) ~ served with chutney, freshly dressed leaves & toast

Homemade Black Pudding (df) ~ apple compote, Parma ham & Guinness

Tempura Prawns (df) ~ freshly dressed leaves & our secret dipping sauce

Creamy Brie (v) ~ golden baked with chutney & dressed leaves

Mains…

Aubergine & Leek Lasagne (v, gf) ~ served with chips & salad

Fresh Fish Pie ~ all our fresh fishes (no shell fish) in a creamy white wine & dill sauce, topped with mash & smoked cheddar

Slow Roast Pork Shoulder (df) ~ stuffed with apples, sage & black pudding

Pie of the Day ~ ask about todays creation! (some pies are only available in large size)

Fish & Chips ~ crisp beer batter, chunky, skin on chips, tartare & mushy peas

Bangers & Mash ~ pork & leek bangers with mash & redcurrant sauce

The Fox Burger (gf*) ~ smoked cheddar, bacon, chips, onion rings & coleslaw

Pesto Baked Haddock (gf) ~ roasted tomatoes, rocket salad & toasted pine nuts

Steak & Frites (gf) ~ a thickly cut, 4 oz sirloin with chips, onion rings & pepper sauce

(a £1 supplement will be added for steaks)

We can tweak many of our other dishes to suit most special diets, we bake our own gluten free bread each day and always stock gluten free flour so we can quickly knock up a gluten free batter for fish, prawns or onion rings. Please ask our waiting staff for any advice.
